The goal of this exhibit is to expand the cultural experience of the carnival to new audiences as the exhibit tours the country and eventually abroad. Carnival lovers and art collectors will celebrate and have an 

opportunity to own the spirit of West Indian Carnival.  Weldon traveled around the country capturing the 

culture and festive expressions of many Caribbean American carnivals.  After several years painting these 

experiences he is ready to share his creations with the best audience for such a show, the Carnival audience.   The Second Annual Art of Carnival exhibit will coincide with the 2017 Carnival in Orlando, Jacksonville, New York, and MIAMI.  Most of his new work features images from last years carnival which has received lots of Accolades, 

excitement and praise. 

 

Weldon Ryan’s Carnival series is an explosion of color, music, revelry and creativity. 

Inspired by Trinidad’s Carnival with its massive masquerade bands, spectacular costumes, 

pulsating music and unparalleled stamina for partying. Nothing on earth can rival the abandon, euphoria and stunning spectacle of Trinidad’s festival. In similar fashion, Weldon Ryan’s art exhibition 

The Second Annual Art of Carnival Orlando, Jacksonville, New York, and MIAMI promises to deliver all the revelry of jumping in the band!
