Weldon Ryan Carnival Series

This is the first painting in the Carnival Series. It’s of the West Indian American Carnival Day Parade Brooklyn, NY in 2002. Her queen like stance with her royal head dressing draws you in and mutes all that is happening in the background.   This is why I painted her standing out of a muted colored background.
